Powerful Questions

It has been said, “change the questions you ask yourself and you change the direction of your life” – Tony Robins. This is so true!

Our language has leverage to either lift us up or drag us down.  It’s the difference between exclaiming “good morning God!!!” and a dour “good God, it’s morning”.  More specific, the type of questions we ask ourselves can either, open up possibilities and empower us or limit and defeat us.  For example; why can’t I do this? vs. how can I make this work?, or why is this happening? vs. what can I do to change this for the better?, or what is wrong with this situation/person? vs. what can I offer to make it right?  Can you see the difference?

The insidious aspect of the questions we ask, is they trigger our subconscious mind.  If you ask yourself, “why do I always fail at this?” our brain will provide a list of reasons of why we are a failure. Suppose we ask instead, “what have I learned from this? and what are possible solutions?” our brilliant brain computer will go to work and provide potential solutions.

To assist in empowering your brain to create an amazing, fulfilling life ahead, may I suggest the following Powerful Questions:

  • What am I most grateful & excited about in my life right now?
  • What am I passionate about?  Am I living in my “passion zone”?
  • What must I do to feel completely fulfilled?
  • What brings me joy?
  • What do I need more of?
  • What do I need less of?
  • Who do I need to bring into my life? (coach, friend, mentor…)

Going deeper:

  • Who am I?
  • What is true? (how can I be completely sure that it’s true?)
  • Who do I need to forgive?
  • What do I need to let go of? (fear, resentment, blame…)
  • What do I really want from my life?

These questions require space & time.  A space that is quiet & unencumbered of mental distractions.  Time enough to allow the mind to tap into Universal intelligence.  Ask, then act! The powerful answers we receive will not have any impact on our lives until we apply them into our behavior. For me, the question, “what do I need to let go of?” led to the answer, “let it ALL go”. My life has been lighter & freer since practicing “letting go”.

Your life will be equally impacted once you begin asking yourself Powerful Questions.
